In 2003, he was the first in our country to perform a vasectomy. Creator of the Family Planning Centre - Wazektomia.com and founder of the Polish Medical Chamber of Commerce. In 1990, he developed a system for natural childbirth in Poland. Co-author of the book “Contraception. Family planning at the dawn of the 21st century.” Author of two books: “Free Women” (2020) and “Total Vasectomy” (2021).
Graduate of the Medical Academy in Białystok. He also graduated from the Warsaw School of Management and Law. He was a second-degree specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics. He was an assistant to the eminent scientist Prof. Stefan Soszka, then Prof. H. Gadomska and Prof. T. Koszarowski. At the same time, he worked at the Family Development Society alongside Prof. Z. Lew-Starowicz.
Dr Siwik was not only a wonderful doctor, but also an educator. Over the course of 19 years of performing procedures, he wrote countless publications and created the largest source of knowledge on responsible family planning and modern methods of contraception in the form of the website www.wazektomia.com. In October 2022, he performed the procedure on his son Mateusz, a happy father of two children.
We will remember Dr Siwik as a man full of energy, tirelessly paving new paths. He will remain in our hearts forever.
